THE director of the Whitechapel Mission, Tony Miller has been made an MBE in the Queen’s New Year Honours. Now in his 30th year at Whitechapel, Mr Miller said the award was a “fantastic honour” and he was looking forward to a really special experience at Buckingham Palace. “I am grateful to all those who work, volunteer, support and serve the Whitechapel Mission, as they are the true deservers of this recognition,” he said.

Need mens underwear
We never seem to get enough mens
underwear donated and for a long time now have had to purchase underpants and
boxers to be able to meet the demand of more than 75 people a day using the
showers.
We are forced to purchase underwear on a regular basis in an
attempt to meet the need and by buying in bulk are currently paying 48p a pair
for underpants and 54p for boxers. Socks cost us 21p a pair
We are
looking for help on two fronts.
1. If you can donate underwear 2. If
you know of a source where we can purchase underwear and socks at a cheaper
rate
